Beautiful, beautiful story! I don't often read Period Piece fics, but this one really caught me. :)
Setting, vocabulary and characters are perfect and it was a pleasure to read, also because it had a "happy ending", which is always a plus for me. XD

The language you used was a perfect blend of historic formality and realistic speech. It suited the setting, but wasn't too stuffy or silly to be believable, or sexy ;)
You conveyed the burning embarassment of Bill's situation when Tom showed up, but I think you could have extended this even more by showing us the banquet scene and when Tom was leaving with Bill.
I just cannot express to you how sexy this was. I think the dialogue was really what did it. So many people neglect dialogue in their sex scenes, but it can really make it erotic. Also, the simultanious emotions of hesitance and arousal that you conveyed for Bill were perfect.
The turning point when Bill saw them in the mirror was a very natural shift from hesitance and embarassment to eagerness. And the ending was so sweet. I'm glad you gave us some idea of what's going to happen now that Bill and Tom have come together. Thanks so much for writing this!

This was so good! Loved the twist on the Droit de Seigneur! Loved that Bill and Tom knew each other from before, that Tom came to claim what was his before it was to late and of course, the unbelievingly sexy claiming he did afterwards. Fantastic story!

This is absolutely amazing!!
And since I'm taking art history, Tom's raising of his right hand in the banner while Bill and Nathalie shake is a typical symbol of marriage in Northern European artwork, especially that of the Netherlands.

Author's Response: Hey, that's awesome! I know the original picture the banner was made from was actually some kind of medieval work of art, but I didn't know much more about it. Learn something new every day! I wonder whether it was artwork from the Netherlands, hmm. I might have to investigate.
