Hello!

This is probably my favorite chapter so far. Things are coming to a head and something is going to break - what? we do not know. But when it does, it will be devastating.

Goodness! Why do you insist on breaking my heart, Ms. Dayast Joy? I just want to cry for these boys!

I just wanted to give Tom a big hug and yes, smack some people over the head. It hurts me that Tom gives so much to the people he loves,he tries so hard to be perfect for Georg and Bill, but when he messes up ( or when they feel he's messed up, even a little) they suddenly abandon him. Not consciously, but they pull away from him. Georg can't because he's married to Gustav, Bill won't because Tom isn't his perfect lover anymore. Nevermind that Tom is the last of his family or that they're soulmates. I feel like Tom is the only one trying to save their relationship and Bill just wants to sulk and punish Tom by being with Borormyr. It's near impossible to live under that kind of pressure and Tom is slowly caving.

Is Tom thinking of leaving? I kind of got that impression during his exchange with Georg. Maybe Tom will cut himself off from the others even Bill. I think he should, since it's obvious all his efforts are wasted on them.

Sorry, I don't mean to be cynical, but Bill is being very unfair and selfish. He's clearly spoiled on his brother's attention and has never had to deal with the possibility of rejection or dealing with hardship because it was Tom who always protected him. Bill needs a serious dose of reality to make him realize just how good he has it with Tom. Afterall, we never really know how good we got it til it's gone.

Is it wrong that I still want Georg and Tom to get together, even though it seems impossible right now? I don't want Gustav to be hurt either (I'm glad you made him stick to his guns, despite how sad it was), but Tom needs someone to help him and Georg's the only one who can right now. Unless you decide to introduce another character, which would be intriguing. Andrej, maybe?

I hope that Theo and Will will be a source of strength and comfort to Tom. They are such sweet boys and maybe Tom will find the love he wants and needs in the love of a father for his children.

Anyways, excellent chapter! And I'm glad you like my reviews! I love this story so much and I want to see it succeed. It's one of my absolute favorites! Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review, it is treasured and very much appreciated :D I hope the wedding night didn't disappoint, and what Tom does after is pretty devastating, but not to worry, Bill will make a grand and surprising gesture of love that will hopefully redeem him and enable Georg to save Tom...I'm a hopeless Torg devotee in all universes...This was a really difficult plot line to develop; but thanks a million for inspiring me to complete this. Hello, Again!

This chapter wasn't as drama packed as the others, but i love that we get to see Tom, Bill, and Georg interacting and bonding with Theo and Will. It was really sweet.

Theo's comment about wanting to marry Bill was too funny and cute...and very true. I babysat a little boy a year younger than Theo many years ago and he kept telling everyone I was his girlfriend and we were going to get married. Children are so refreshing and endearing in their innocence.



I liked how Georg is trying to get Tom back into Bill's good graces. It's also very heartbreaking because Bill doesn't seem to be having it. But it also presents an interesting facet of Bill's emotions. It seems that his love of Tom is so obsessive that it has taken on this perfectionistic quality that Bill sees as ruined by Tom and Georg's pending coupling. This is perfectly understandable because if this happened between my lover and I, particularly if it involved his ex that he still had feelings for. I can see how Bill is upset and acts out because he has no one to talk to. That's why I think that as the wedding nears, Bill might deviate towards Borormyr. That's just my theory.However, that may not be the case as Bill seemed to make it a point to state that his heart belonged to someone else. But can hearts belong to someone else even if the love that binds it is tainted? How long will that sentiment hold up?

And maybe Tom will grow tired of chasing after Bill and let his feelings for Georg shine through. It will all come to a head on the wedding night (which I can't wait to read btw).

Anyway, awesome chapter. I hate that it felt short though....my only complaint. I guess I was so into it that it just flew by.

The last chapter was a bit short; I wanted to find the best way to let Tom know that Gustav had put his foot down, he's no pushover as you noticed so astutely! The meeting of Theo and Will was very well done and kind of sweet. The young twins are indeed mirror images of Bill and Tom. I wonder if they will have the same affinities for magic/combat? Will and Theo seemed so adorable, my hope is that they will be the glue that holds Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav together or at least give them the drive to work out their problems.

The subtle exchange between Tom and Bill when he was helping Will on the horse was also well executed. It darkened what was a tender moment and reminded us that cute children likely won't be enough to sate Bill. My hope is that Tom and Bill will make up in order to care for the boys. But the cynic in me says that may not be the case. Based off Gustav's observation, Georg and Tom might end up being the primary caretakers, especially after the wedding.

The final scene with Gustav was very heartbreaking. It was good to see his own feelings and even doubts, which anyone would have when their marriage is being threatened. Yes, I say threatened, because even though Tom doesn't want to ruin Georg and Gustav's relationship, the wedding and wedding night will change the dynamics of their relationship permanently and negatively.

I was also pleasantly surprised with what you did with Boromyr. He earned my understanding if not my empathy and maybe he will be a source of support for Gustav having gone through a similar situation before. Gustav needs someone to confide in and I feel that neither Tom, Georg or Bill would be able to fully comprehend what he's going through and I'm glad you let Borormyr fill that role.

I only have one little hesitation though. I wouldn't want Gustav to fall into the victim/martyr role. He deserves more than to be the self-sacrificing spouse who suffers in silence. Eventually, something is going to have to give, he won't be able to keep that up for long, not realistically. I just don't want Gustav to be too permissive, you know? He's a great fighter and a tough cookie (he took a sword to the side, by golly!), he won't take anyone's crap for long and not Georg/Tom's either. He deserves better than that. He deserves to stick up for himself.

That's the only thing I have to critique, you can of course ignore it, it's still a great story. I will still read it rigorously.

I really can't believe Bill did that. I mean, no matter how mad Tom can get at Bill, he never would have hurt him like that 

Hi,I'm new and have never reviewed a story before but I must say something. You are one of my favorite authors on this site and you began my love of torg.

I can't help but bite my nails at how this will affect the boys' solid friendship. I can't help but doubt that Gustav will only be able to take so much, especially since Tom is his rival for Georg's love. I feel bad for tom because he's stuck in this cycle of unrequited/forbidden love! And Bill! Will he, in his frustration, lean towards Borormyr! I can only see this ending badly.

I also want to see how Tom adjusts to his new role as a father.

That being said. This is my favorite story of yours. I was shocked when it only has 8 reviews! It deserves way more than that! So here I am, entreating you to please continue this story as it is one of my faves and I MUST know how it ends!

This story was very difficult to write, and it's somewhat dark, so I left it as I didn't quite know what to do with it. But after your generous and wonderful review, I took it up again, and think I would be able to complete it. Sorry updates on this story have taken so long, I wrote it quite quickly because the characters came alive faster than I expected, with only a sketched out story line, and am not suite sure about updates, so it needs time to cook. I can honestly say I have no words to describe how awesome this is. 

Georg's love for Gustav and Tom at the same time, Bill's jealousy, it all made this fic so incredibly amazing! 

But I feel sorry for poor Bill, Tom has to have sex with Georg :'(
