AWWWWWWWWWWWW, oh my god. That was so sweet. This was touching. Like, even though there was SO MUCH humor mixed in (which by the way I LOVE because your comments and the way you describe Bill's excentric tendencies is BRILLIANT), it seemed very sad, and heartbreaking. When everyone else made fun of Bill but Tom, who even though probably agreed with their guests stood up for Bill.. that was the beginning of the very different side of this story. And then right after Bill said the bit about "maybe I'll just marry Tom"... it changed the whole vibe of the story, definately. Then, you could literally FEEL the longing in Bill, and when they were about to blow out the candles... it was like you could see Bill was prepared to be heartbroken one more year in a row.
I wish so much that you had drawn this story out a bit more, especially the ending, which was so important.
This was beautiful.
They kissed right in the middle of everything, in the dark, with everyone around them. Very touching and unique scenario, and I wish you could have made it even bigger.
Beautiful, (and SOOOOO funny too)... I loved this so much.
