Wait...Bill started school when he was three? Smart kid.
I think I keep forgetting in this story that Tom isn't Tom...he's only fifteen and still a wee lad himself. Shit...at the beginning of fifteen I still thought boys had cooties. The boys I went to school with certainly did. Got my first boyfriend right before sixteen, but we were both completely retarded, so these guys are doing pretty well.
Ending revelation there was powerful. Ouch...Poor Tom.
Author's Response: You're the second person who's said that...I really should change it. :') I guess if he was young in the year then he could only just be four, in which case it would technically be nearly ten years. I think...
I'm working on the principle that realising just how serious a situation Tom is in has focred him to grow up...and get rid of the cooties. ;)

You are obviously English, I knew that before reading your bio...the UK is West of the English Channel from Germany and I speak German, so I know they don't make common use of the word "git"...hee hee hee.
During the Napoleonic Wars, the French were called "Frogs" and the Brits were called "Lobsters" because of the red uniforms. So...for a yank to say "your lobster is showing" it just means you're giving yourself away as being from across the pond. They were all compliments. I'm a Classical English Lit major and get told all the time that I write in refined British English. I don't, but I can...God Bless Shakespeare and Austen. :)

This is heartbreaking, and I don't say that lightly. The whole opening segment in which Bill berates himself for not being good enough for Tom...that is the kind of writing that gets it done. That gets you between two hard covers. I was here with my fist jammed against my mouth. I'm impressed.

I really like your writing, and before you get all nonplussed and underwhelmed...no, I don't say that in all my reviews. In fact, I'm a lurker. I don't review a lot because I only review that which I don't find to be shit and there's not a lot of that that can be said around here. I'm picky. And by that, I mean conceited. As in...I expect people to be at least as good as me.
So when I find someone like you, I read all of their stuff, back to back and then cry myself to sleep when it's time to resume the long and drudging search for someone else who doesn't annoy me with their ignorance of pronouns. :)
So yes...your writing is wonderfully entertaining and I hope you have like 76 stories posted with lots of chapters each because you, madam...make me happy.

They should keep it a secret for a bit, before someone finds out and tells their mum and she wants to separate them so they go to different places but then Tom dies and Bill spends his life searching for the brother no one told him was dead.
No, I'm kidding. That'd be a horrid plot.
