I like this chapter actually, but I think sometimes your paragraphs are too long :) perhaps you can split them a bit. Long paragraph might be nice when you read it to other people, but when you read it yourself, it tend out to be tiring XD Just a little suggestion, though ^^
But overall I like it; especially Tom's interaction with the mystery girl :O
