Hi, I'm a new reader :)
Anyhow, at first I was a bit confused at the sudden "scene" from the previous chapter to this chapter but other than that, I really like your story so far. Melissa seems very interesting and I like her humour lol.
I think Miranda is getting a bit too "cliché", you know? The typical "bitchy girlfriend", it gives me the "Tom-is-only-together-with-her-because-she's-sexy-and-is-good-in-bed"-vibe, but I guess that's cool, relationships can be like that too :P
Anyhow, I like the way you've made Tom's character but he seems a bit judgemental though (toward the "smart" people BUT I don't blame him, seems the ones HE have MET weren't really nice), but other than that he seems like a cool guy.
I'm very intrigued in reading more, this story is definitely interesting and it's pretty well written, as far as I can tell. At first I really thought it was going to be horror and angsty from what I got from the previous chaoter, but it's kinda nice to know that it's not, I'm not good with angst anyway.
I'm really curious in when Melissa and Tom is gonna meet again, and also to see how his life is.
