Love doesn't even begin my feelings for this fic. I don't think there is a word in the English language that can describe how this makes me feeling and how I feel about it.

Just know that is brings me to tears and tugs at my heartstrings and all that other shit that is associated with something awesome.

I would paste my favourite part into the review, but I don't think the whole fic will fit.

The whole damn thing was amazing, awesomebeautiful, breathtaking,  and shit, I better stop now before I get anymore alphabetical.

This story blew me away.
A tad confusing at the end; and a few spelling errors.
But otherwise...
WOW. Left me speechless.

Actually, I AM "religious," but I wasn't offended by your story. It was lovely, for the most part. Tom being Bill's father in the end didn't seem to fit, but otherwise I did like Tom's character a lot and think you did a great job writing him.

I WAS, however, a little offended at the summary. You don't what I will and won't like or what will and won't offend me. Please, don't pretend you do.

Author's Response: The fic was originally going to be longer, but it got cut down to fit in with the Bible verses. There is an explanation of Bill's actions up on my formspring if you are interested though.rnrnI am sorry if I offended you, when I wrote "deeply religious" I meant it as a nice way to say "bat-shit zealot". I know that most Christians are lovely people but where I am from there are a lot of them that are not, and I didn't want to have that all over my reviews.rn

Wow. I really enjoyed this. Thank you for the religious depravity!

That was the most beautiful thing I've read in a long time. I usually avoid stories with a label warding off religious people (although I myself am an atheist turned agnostic) simply because they're often obnoxious in their attempt to seem overtly blasphemous. Those stories have a tendency of channeling the author's dislike for the church and religion as a whole. However, this story is so incredible that I can't even begin to describe it. It literally made me want to cry. It's a breathtaking piece of literature, and I think it's one of the best stories on this site. I especially loved the ending note upon which it resonated - that father and son were united. There's so much to draw from that line - based on strict Christian teachings, I suppose, they would be united in hell because a 'sodomite' could never get into heaven, or based on liberal Christian teachings, they could be united in heaven. Or, what I would like to believe, of them being united in spirit in the great beyond, but I suppose I must think in context of this story's setting. At the same time, I feel as if the first interpretation of being united in hell is the most apparent, according to the previous line of 'let the wicked together fall into their own nets, while I escape.' Tom has certainly dug himself a deep hole. I'd love to know more about their lives, but there's something lovely about all of the details left up for interpretation. Great work. :D

I'm a Christian but this didn't bother me. *shrug* I just know that this is all fiction and it doesn't matter to me what people write as long as it's not super insulting and horrible and whatever. XD

I didn't get it, though. I don't know why I didn't get it. Could you explain it a bit more? ^-^; Like what happened, exactly. I think my brain is just too stupid. D:

Author's Response: ...my explanation ran a little long. If you like though, you can post your question to my formspring at http://www.formspring.me/IcarusDefiled and I will be sure to get back to you as soon as it is posted.
