I like your story. It has a lot of emotions, passion and last, but not least, realistic reactions. I love that. However, I just want to point out a couple of things.
"No matter how good it felt between them, the rest of the world will never understand." It should be: the rest of the world would never understand.
Changing the time of the story like this makes it sound like you're convincing the reader, that it's not just a work of fiction.
And then the massive use of ! and ? is kind of redundant. (This is just a tip, don't take it as criticism, because I do like your story.) You could use italic font, for examble.
But all in all, it's a delight to read, and as mentioned before, I love the way you describe the characters' feelings. And I hope that tape won't go public!
