I cried, I blubbered everywhere and 15 minutes after finishing this chapter, I am still snivelling away. You have this way with words, you see :)
Despite the tears, I was thrilled to see an update, of course xD This fic is so so amazing ~and I LOVE your writing, so pretty great combo I'd say ;)
I love watching Bill and Tom's relationship repair itself and build and grow and thrive and turn into something magical... *crosses fingers*
The dymanics between the two are definitelt changing and UNF hot moment in the stables. I was so expecting a kiss but of course, that would be too obvious xD TOM IS SUCH A TEASE!

I very rarely cry when reading fics and I'm sitting here with a tissue blotting my eyes. I don't even know what to say. I loved the chapter, and I love this story. I'm enjoying seeing Bill and Tom grow closer and I'm happy they have each other to cling to. Great Job.

THE PACING! I can't say it enough; your pacing is brilliant! They're moving slow, but not too slow, but not too quickly either. I love how Tom is slowly coming around bit by bit, and it all just makes sense. Tom would have to befriend Bill first and get over his homophobia and whatever else is holding him back before he moved any further.
I love how he takes baby steps by flirting subtly (or not so subtly lol) with Bill; moving in close than he should, making a smug little comment, maintaining eye contact for just a moment longer than necessary. It's like he's testing the waters to reassure himself that despite what his father said, it's ok. It's like he's trying to see if Bill's right--that it's not wrong, and that he won't suddenly be struck by lightning. If he can come out of flirting unscathed, then maybe just maybe, moving a bit further won't be so bad, either.
I'm so glad that Bill and his father got that closure before he passed away. I understand that sentiment that though they weren't the closest, he was still Bill's dad.
I'm wondering about his statements, though:
“You two need each other. You function well together.”
“You’ve got Tom. He’s a good man. And he’ll stick by you now.”
It almost sounds as if he's not just talking about friendship. It makes me wonder if he's finally come to terms with his son being gay, and is okay with it. Is that why he didn't hesitate to tell Bill that he loved him?
I've missed this story so much, and I'm so glad you've updated! I was this close to pestering you about it, haha!
As usual, I'm looking forward to more, and will be waiting petiently for it to come, regardless of how much or little time you need; it's totally understandable. ♥
