Well, therein lies a bit of a mystery, no? I could either write a few more and tell the tale of Bill making his way back, or I could let it stand as it is, allowing the reader to make up their own mind about what's going on. As for the end of this one, no, he didn't go back, because he only just found salvation.

This reminds me of the ending to I Am LEgend. So, I think I have a decent idea of what happened.
I really like how you wrote this out, and I hope that you write more! It's so.. idk. Apocalyptic stories haven't been my thing (or, more honestly, I've been hesitant to give them a try), but I'm loving this! I may have to hunt down more apocalyse/zombie fics now, thanks to you. ;P

I admit, I had the tendancy to stay away from them myself. They've been so overdone and rewritten and beaten to death. But seriously, zombies have been on my brain lately. I dream of them, and when I'm laying in bed at night, it really creeps me out. I wanted to maybe try to battle some of my demons and get them aired out, and what better outlet is there besides writing? Other than throwing things and hollering at the top of my lungs, which I do as well. Thanks so much for the review. Oh, and I Am Legend was a fantabulous movie, so thanks for the almost-comparison.

I really enjoyed it. It was short and to the point. I loved the little Bill & Tom flashback, the fic was very throughly and nicely written. Had a great concept as well.
