well, yeah he might do that xD but he won't really regret it anyway, i think. He's surrendering, slowly, and in the next chapter Bill will find out that Tom doesn't just assume everything's alright because of that call, so that's again a positive thing he finds out about Tom :p seriousness from Tom will also become clear pretty soon. This was so hot :) A totally appropriate intermezzo. Don't worry about it. It seems even natural because Tom's feelings are bunched up, wound so tightly right now, so it probably doesn't take more than a few minutes to jump to a very adult moment in their otherwise nervous phone conversation :) Love the way it's moving and the pace is perfect .
