I think on a normal day, I'm a day fairy. But today, I'm a night fairy. That made me smile. Perfection as always. It's like a story from one of my fairy books that I read as a child. Blue Fairy. Green Fairy. Yellow and Red Fairy possibly too. I can't remember. See? You can even write children's books! :-) ♥

I've said it before and I'll say it again; in all my years growing up with Enid Blytons and scads of random fairy tales, not ONE of them made me wiggle quite like this one :)

If only I was smart enough to have checked that this was a prequel to Family Tree I would have read this ages ago!! I am glad I decided to reread the other one and suddenly found myself reading this one instead!! It was lovely, the whole universe is adorable and I kept wishing it was something that could really happen. Its like kiitens nesting or something, just totally cute!!!!

I love this adorable story and your writing. It is so cute the way you emphasized their differences with little details but gave each a quirky, adorable personality. I love sweetly charming and manipulative Tom with his licking and details like Bill’s glowing giving away his mood and having a different flavor for every emotion. The resolution with Bill doing whatever he could to save Tom is completely endearing. You have a beautiful way of describing the action of the flight and chase as well as the action with the little girl and the great escape. (It also made me feel guilty for catching all those lightning bugs as a kid!) I love how you kept the same themes so strong: a promise, sealing it with a kiss, overcoming differences to be together and wrapping it up by going back to the conversation at the beginning about catching and keeping each other. So lovely!

so cute, i think i just died...it was so so sweet how bill glittered his hand on his wing and left a print on the glass, then tom returned it later...so so cute, they're so adorable. i dont think i've ever enjoyed PG more. this is truly a tiny masterpiece-which fits, really, given the size of it's characters. loved it. and now i will eagerly await updates on Family Tree and devour them like honeycomb!

oh no! i somehow wasn't expecting any drama. crap, tom's stuck in a jar! omg, so, i really really love this, and i figure i should give a thorough review about now...
here it goes, their personalities are so well developed, their quirks constant and convincing, and their interaction totally adorably buyable. i love that tom keeps licking bill, and every time it makes me think he must be getting some sort of glittery, yummy powder on his tongue by doing it, since they seem to be constantly shedding sparklyness and i just imagine fairies to have some sort of fairy dust, i suppose, on their skin that would rub off easily. idk, but it's interesting to think about. any chance you are aware of any more fairy!bill flitting around out there? it's gonna be hard to give this up

Well, Bill definitely tastes good, fairy dust or not, at least in Tom's opinion. Tom, on the other hand, apparently can't be THAT bad either. ;)
This story has a sequel, so that's one more. And Ghostie has at least two, A Beautiful Kill and Frolic. Other than that, search wing fic, I guess?

When I saw that you posted something new, I wanted to re-read this one in order to be able to fully appreciate its sequel! Glad I did cause now I remember why I loved this fic so much the first time! It’s just so sweet and adorable all around. Going to read ``Family Tree`` now =P
