I am utterly captivated, and completely sympathetic toward Tom. That doesn't happen very often, but in this story I want nothing more than to wrap him in a fluffy hug and shoo away his terrors. Hopefully things will turn for the better, before he truly goes mad.

For moments I had the theory Bill was Tom's twin brother that suffered some kind of dark spell but the warnings tell me different, they're not related xD but I still have some of them that I'm waiting to verify *lol*

This is marvellous! I really like the tone of the story -- so creepy and gothic. Poor Tom though! Aww, he's so young and alone. I understand his fears very well. The thought of sleeping with dead animal heads and skins makes me shudder!
I was expecting a raven behind the window, so a pale boy really surprised me! An intriguing premise -- I look forward to seeing what happens next!

I am extremely curious and excited to see where you take this. I didn't check the genre/pairing before I read the chapter so I wasn't sure when/if Bill would come in. Now I'm intrigued to see what will happen between them. I'll also have to make a mental note to never read this before bed. Thankfully it's morning here right now, or else I wouldn't be getting any sleep!

Great job! You have decribed the mood and atmosphere beautifully with good use of words and creative diction. The setting and old English styled language proved most effective as it coordinates with the essence of a real Egar Allan Poe narrative. Normally, this kind of writing style would have not caught my attention but I was intrigued as to how well a THF author can approach a Poe inspired fic. I will definitely be looking out for more of this fic.
