I usually don’t write reviews, because my English sucks, but since you asked for reviews at the end of each chapter… I’m doing you the favor ;-) I’m French, by the way, I’m 27 and a computer scientist.

I’m probably going to remember this story for the rest of my life, I already know this, because of its originality. There’re some parts I really enjoyed, and some others that weren’t developed enough to my opinion.

Concerning the language, it was some kind of challenge for me to understand some passages. Usually, when I don’t know a word, I understand it anyway in the context of the sentence, but in this story, the vocabulary is so rich that sometimes I was really lost… I spent a lot of time with my nose in the dictionary… lol… and sometimes, I even didn’t understand the translation, because there are some words we never use in usual French language (like “coterie” or “vehemence”).
What I really enjoyed, it’s the story in its entirety, and the theme (slavery, sci-fi…). You created a whole world, with specific rules, architecture, history… everything. It’s fabulous. I totally felt in love with your Tom character, he’s just perfect

I agree it probably could have been more developed, with a more complex plot-line - if I were re-writing this to publish it rather than simply being fanfiction I would definitely try for that level of detail.

I'm sorry if the language was overly complicated! I try to make sure that any unusual words can be understood in context... I've started to work with a pre-reader whose native language is not English and she helps me by pointing out phrases that I can simplify. :)

I love your story but the only bad thing there was, as a personal opinion, was the fact that our innocent little Bill had hair down there. For me it was like a total turn off. Just saying

I just read this story in its entierty for the second time, and I'm trying, still, to turn my thoughts into something close to resembling coherent.

Because I was reading this for the second time, I already knew what would happen, and yet, every chapter still managed to leave me on the edges of my ties, dying to know what was to come next!

I adore that while you wrote Bushido as what could be called the "villain" character, you broke the mold and made him not the villain. He was simply a guy in lust, who wanted Bill, but the moment he knew that he had no rights, he was fine. I was pleasantly surprised all over again to see him so willing to not take Bill against his will, sexually; all he wanted was for Bill to want him, and while most people would've seen it as the opportunity for a rape scene for added drama, you used it as a chance to expand on his character so that we could gain insight to the other side of him. And I absolutely loved that. That really stuck out for me.

I love the twin's bond in this, that they were both so afraid that the other wouldn't want them anymore, only to have it be a misunderstanding; that Georg was so willing to help; that Gustav was trying his damndest onche realized how in love they truly were.

And, as I've told you on formspring several times, lol, I absolutely adore the world you've built here, with it's majestic cityscapes and currency, and customs. I love it, I love it, I love it, from the very beginning to the very end.

You're a great writer, the absolute tops, Tay! I really hope that you don't stop writing for this fandom anytime soon (but if you do, I'll read those too, haha), and I hope to see another fic in which you've created your own world, because the scene that you set here was so reathtaking and gorgeous, and such an integral part of the story, even though it remained in the background. Love it, love it, love it!

I somehow always forget to review after reading a finished story. It's been a while since I read A captive love, but I wanted to give you a review anyways, because you truly deserve it. You have no idea how much I enjoy you're writing. Seriously, I never want to stop reading once I begin reading a story you've written. Like it's magical. Perhaps it is?x] -lol-
