ooo wow, those hands in the photo o.O i was so excited to see this updated! and this chapter was fabulous! I wonder what effect seeing Tom and Rebecca will have on him. Maybe he'll learn something. Your writing is excellent, i always love how you get inside Tom's head, everything is brought closer.

I think you did say something about this creature Bill starting to look as real Bill and not following the movie in all details, will he have hair at some point? I've been asking myself this for a few chapthers already xd

Is Bill naked we've never talked about that. Is his junk flying in the wind? Is he cold? What time of year is it? It's winter right? Things would be falling off my body if I were naked in winter. Does Bill run warm? What kind of junk does he have? is it humanoid? Does he have any hair on his body?

I kind of feel sorry for Tom here; he's in over his head and he doesn't even know it yet.
Cute gangly teen Bill is still adorable. He's definitely like a pet, so curious and exploring, and you can't really blame him when he wrecks things because he doesn't know any better. Tom clearly didn't give the first thought to "child-proofing" anything, so he's reaping his own reward there.
Bill as an innocently peeping...um...well, that should develop in an interesting fashion.

I think as an added twist Bill should have hair on his head...or at least Tom could get him a wig. The line down the middle of Bill's head isn't the most desirable

you know, i never expected i would read this, because creature-fic is not my cup of tea. closest i get to that sort of thing is fyredancer's youko. but for some reason, every time i saw you had updated it made me curious. so i watched splice, which i had never really planned on doing, and i found it surprising. it really made me think, and i felt more for dren than i would have expected of myself. it was a rather sad story. so now i am anxious to see what you do differently. i've enjoyed it immensely so far and am hopelessly addicted at this point. now i will go back to lurking and waiting for updates, because this has really turned into one of my most favorite stories right now. /long and rambling review.
Author's Response: I feel like the film is being marketed as a horror movie, and while some elements of it are horrific, it is certainly more than that. As you say, it's a very sad story, and Dren is really quite sympathetic throughout. It was that vulnerable quality that made me want to write this story, actually. And I'm so glad you decided to give the story a chance, despite it being a creature fic! It's great to hear that the story is drawing you in.

Man oh man. Little Bill is like a child or a new pet. Sniffing around everything and touching everything. Love that! Especially when he decided to taste the pepper. I can picture that moment perfectly in my head. Buuuttt...damn that female! I know Tom has some needs but not anymore damn it. He needs to take care of Bill. Lol.
