Oh Tom *sigh* you silly boy. I don't blame him though, I have never had any problems with homosexuality whatsoever, but I know it's different for some people, and as long as you don't go all hateful I fully respect that some people find it weird. Also, growing up in such a religious family might do that to you.
I can fully relate to how Tom wants approval of his family, I'm still looking for some kind of approval from my dad, even though I after 21 years should know that it will never happen, so I can relate to him, poor guy.
I'm really curious about Bill, he seems to be such an interesting character, I love the way he asks about why he wouldn't fall asleep there, like it's such a normal thing to do. Tom better take a deep breath and go give the poor boy a chance, even if it takes some time. You need a friend, Tom, don't throw this opportunity away!
And I'm sorry for my rambling, I'm not very good at writing reviews, as you can see, I never know when to stop when I read a good story, I just keep on babbling, but I really like this, and I will keep reading when I take a break from everything I have to get done today :)

I guess when it take four years to write a story that my personality and writing style changed, so you may notice that in the later chapters haha. I've had this story on my list of things I want to read for ages now, but I've never started since it wasn't finished, then you finally came back to writing, and I didn't have time to read *sigh*. But now I finally started, and I was planning on just reading one chapter since I have so much to do today... but with this ending.. I think I need to read one more!
I'm a very slow reader, so it might take a while before I finish it, but I will leave you some reviews, I think every writer deserves them to know that their job is appreciated, and after all your reviews on my "I See You" I kind of owe you some as well haha! :D
To actually comment on the chapter:
I like Tom already, I'm not very religious myself, or at all, but I was when I was younger, and to turn it all around I was the only one in my family believing in something, so I can understand him and how it feels to not have anything in common with your family, just that for me it was the other way around :P
I'm really interested in this "girl" he saw ;) of course! And I can't wait to read more about that, and well, it's the whole reason why I won't go do something more useful, like I should, and instead will move on to next chapter ^^
