i have to agree with tom...why are christians like that? and i'm not saying all...it seems that they can be very judgemental before they even know the situation...i have met a few in my younger years(not that i'm old) because of my life choices...before my husband, i was with a woman and a lot of people told me that i was wrong...i never felt that way the entire time...we ignored them and had a great time right up until the end...but i was like bill...forgiving...my mom always told me to be myself...follow my own path...and i'm thankful that i took her advice...and sometimes, you can't help loving who you love...

that's actually the same advice i give to my children...my oldest daughter is 12 and she's pretty normal...wears jeans and t-shirts...however, she likes colored streaks in her hair...no biggie, she's exercising her right as an individual...and we actually use that as a reward system...she made excellent grades last year and that was her reward...this year she made excellent grades again, made junior honor society and asked to get a second hole in her ears...that's do-able...
my son is 9...he is tall and lanky...his hair is past his shoulders...his choice...it's what he likes...he enjoys biking and skateboarding and gymnastics...
my youngest daughter is 7...she is the most fabulous person i know...she is a true individual...her outfits consist of brightly colored tu-tus and leggings...not to mention i don't think she has ever worn a matching pair of socks...even if she can't find matches to different flip-flops she'll wear them mismatched...her hair is short...and she loves everybody...it's great to see them have their own personalities and thoughts...

i think it's interesting...it intrigues me about other people's belief systems...my family is as diverse as you can get...my mom is christian, i am agnostic, my husband is atheist, my mother-in-law is lutheran, my father-in-law is catholic, and my sister is wiccan...i also have 3 children who are all exploring their possibilities...although they're young yet so there's plenty of time for them to make up their minds...
