Author's Response: Cherie is hateful and possessive. She can't stand it that Tom is no longer under her thumb and she can't control him. I have come across horrible people who thought things like that. IN fact, the "kick him in the stomach" came directly from the mouth of a girl I once knew. She literally planned to make a girl lose her baby. She didn't do it, thank goodness, but she planned it! I never considered that someone would actually do such a mean and hateful thing to a mother!

Author's Response: Cheris is such a mean, hateful, selfish bitch. She only cares about what she wants and nothing and no one else. She wants to control Tom and she does not like or accept the fact that Tom has now left her and is moving on with his own life. Cheri does not want to be alone so she's holding onto Tom for dear life. In her warped view of the world, she's missing the point that by being mean to Bill and Tom, she is pushing him further and further away. Sad...
