Author's Response: Thanks! The story is now part of a series, and the series will gain more stories. Gustav is precognitive (can see the future), and simply knows what everyone around him is feeling, even if they don't know themselves. Georg can phase through things, and create a different world in someone's mind, that he solely controls. Bill can create ice, Tom can create fire, and they can heal themselves and others.
