It was a great story other than the fact that Bill was getting hurt and Tom wouldn't stop. That's all. You're a wonderful writer and I'm sorry I didn't mention that in my review. I guess I was too disturbed.

and this is why safe words exist. I think that as definately too much for a first time. I mean he was asleep and barely awake when Tom started playing. He had no warning and Tom wouldve known Bill had a thing about blood...but poor Bill he loves Tom so much he would do it again to make Tom happy despite not liking it. I liked this. It kinda started off as this fluffy little bdsm fic (well as fluffy as those get anyway)and took a turn for the dark and twisted. Very nice.
Author's Response: I wrote this fic without any real knowledge about BDSM. At first, I wanted the scene to be some kind of kinky rape scenario that turned into actual non-con/rape, and since the boys had planned to do it, Tom would have thought Bill was just playing along. (Hence the title...) I'm glad you enjoyed it. It diverted a lot from my origional idea, but I'm still glad about the way it came out. =)

I'd definitely do some research on BDSM, because this was more noncon than anything. Before attempting BDSM, most people would talk with their partners about what each is comfortable with, and I really think Tom would do that before he tried anything with Bill. BDSM is all about love and trust, which is why there are safe words- and I don't think Tom would follow through without making sure there was a way for Bill to let him know he was in any way uncomfortable. Your writing wasn't bad, however, and I think with a little more practice and research, you'll be able to write it well. If you want a good reference for writing this tricky subject, I'd recommend reading sweet dee's "Love well, whip well" series, as it's really hot and goes into a lot of depth on the subject. :)
Sorry if this wasn't understandable or I made it seem like I hated it, it's two in the morning, I'm exhausted, and I'm putting off studying for that math final I have tomorrow morning. I think with a little improvement you'll be fine. :)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'll definately do some research on BDSM. When I first went to write this, Bill and Tom were going to decide to have playrape as foreplay, but then I changed my mind on that. Though, I do think that I kept that idea throughout the story. I'll check out Sweet Dee's series and educate myself more if I plan to write more along the BDSM line. =)

from having been in the BDSM scene for several years...
this made me really uncomfortable, and not in a good way.
Your lead-in was good, but once it got down to business, the story read a lot more like non-con/assault than true BDSM and there should be a warning added for that.
Though I imagine this is how something could go if someone decided to attempt BDSM without educating themselves as to how it actually works, it is in no way a portrayal of how an actual BDSM scene or encounter plays out; it's an attempt gone terribly awry.
In the scene there is a saying; safe, sane, consensual. This appears to have been none of the above.
As I said, the lead-in worked well enough; if you want to venture into writing more actual BDSM, I'd encourage you to learn at least a little about how it works. Especially the use of safewords.
Hope you take this the way it's intended and not that I'm trying to slam you or your writing at all.

Author's Response: Thanks for the constructive criticism! I see how non-con/assault it seems and I'm going to add a warning for that. In my other stories there's typically non-con/pedo, and I think those elements sort of shifted into this one shot, although that was not my intend. I should have probably educated myself about BDSM before I wrote this, but because I'm lazy...I didn't. I'll try to make it more realistic if I ever try to write more BDSM. I appreciate your honesty! =)
