Your apologizing for a long chapter? There really is no need. In fact, they are my favorite kind. :D I like that you're writing tension but it's not overly dramatic. I think this story has a great start.

I still like this so much. I'm so curious about what the turning point's gonna be like, you don't leave much of a hint...apart from those little "he's not that bad though" thoughts of either protagonist.
