Oh God, this was so beautiful and sad! You portrayed Bill's feelings of insecurity and inadequacy perfectly. It was heartbreaking, that even though Tom loves him, Bill can't feel as if he is enough. Plus, I love this line: "He knows (think-hopes) Tom loves him, even if Tom tells him whenever he has a chance." I always love to read the real thoughts running through a characters mind, as you have shown within brackets in that line. and I love how Bill doesn't say that he loves Tom as often as Tom does. His insecurity is heartbreaking! But is this fic really finished? Only this chapter? I would love it if you would continue (although, I'll admit that leaving it at this point makes it so intriguing and bittersweet and I would totally understand if you want to leave it at that). I loved this story, it was beautifully written!
Author's Response: Welllllll, this was the exact thing I thought of when I first heard the song, so that's why I wrote it like that. If I write more than one chapter, I feel like I'm stretching the song too much. I AM looking into writing a sequel, I just need to find a song that would adequately inspire me.
I'm glad you thought it was beautiful, despite the obvious angst. I enjoyed writing it, especially that line you mentioned, because it really just came to me like that.

LOLOLOL. and the story IS incomplete. I wanna write a sequel, I just need another song to inspire me LOLOL. xD

This hit me with as much as I can understand where Bill is coming from. Sometimes you just take a good look at yourself and wonder 'how am I different than all the rest of them-- do I do anything new and exciting for them to notice ME'.

Cause I tend to just ignore everyone's past, if I can, but I think I've felt the bit about trying to do something different than everyone else (especially in stuff like my writing) but babeeeeeee I NOTICE YOU ALL THE TIME. xD

at the end of the day all that matters is that you think it was written nicely i guess.
