I like this chapter and I understand that Bill's happy with his life the way it is, but I just can't help but feel like Bill can't have loved Tom as much as he thought he did. Bill couldn't have loved Tom when he didn't love hiself. So now that he does he truly loves Jon and Bu but thats different then the love he had for Tom. As much as I'd love to see Tom and Bill get back together, it would sadden me to have them in a foursome. Has hot as it is, its not very romantic. I don't think you can give your all to three people and loving someone is not just considering what makes you happy, but also what makes them happy. The way you've written Tom it doesn't seem like he'd be happy in a relationship were it wasn't a one on one commitment. I don't know you have me so confused but I LOVEEEEEE ITTTTT!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked this then. And I think we have different ideals on love then, because I do believe that Bill loved Tom. He didn't love himself then, because he hadn't gotten to a point in his life where things were settled enough, but he liked himself well enough to know that then he did love Tom.
I think it's a bit sad to say you can't love someone else without loving yourself, because there are millions of people in this world that don't love themselves, and yet, they still manage to love and care for others.

I really enjoyed this chapter, it's always good to take baby steps in healing any type of relationship. I don't know why I just get this feeling that they'll just end up being friends in the end. I guess a foursome could work but those always seem weird to me. Like with Jon and Bu does Bill love them equally, do they love eachother? Okayyyyyyy anyway I'm thinking way to hard on this....Love your story though.

And yes, babysteps are needed. *shrugs* I can't give you an answer for certain, but I'm aiming for them being together, cause I think they need each other, just as Bill needs Jon and Bu. xD And it's funny that you say that about foursomes, cause I know a couple (or quasi-couple) from college that's like that, and it's ALWAYS fun watching their dynamics. Because they definitely love each other equally (and from what I saw and was told, the lust factor is equal as well), but the like factor is what keeps the relationship strong. Like, Lusi and Mary like each other more than they like Victor and Juan, when it comes to them needing to talk things out, and figure life-stuff out, but Mary likes Victor more, when it comes to need just someone to hang out with, and keep her grounded. Their dynamics are pretty facinating. xD

As for the rest of it, all I can say is--baby steps.
They'll get there, because it all won't change overnight like some miracle from the heavens.
There's still much for them to deal with when it comes to their present/future because there's no point in changing the past. It's done and over with and they each came out as unscathed as they could and still remain somehow standing without the other.
