My guess is that the next chapter is going to be a huge combination of Bill's general slight insecurity/anxiety about the whole thing - what with his slight pension for alcohol-fueled courage and his shock with his own behaviour - as well as the fact that Tom will be totally out of his natural habitat. You had one line in your last chapter in which the realization that Tom is a celebrity in Kinetic hits Bill rather hard. I'm thinking that will be brought up to contrast with the fact that outside of Kinetic, Tom is just a dude, really.

As usual, I know I will be totally pleased with whatever you decide to do, but I'll share what I imagine nonetheless, if for nothing else than to give you something to think about. What I imagine is the hilarious first meeting outside Kinetic in which Tomas tries to maintain his smooth, suave, thrilling exterior, but in the bright lights of the real world, I imagine Bill may actually perceive some unsure or nervous element to Tom that mirrors his own. I think it could be a touch awkward, in a delightful way that would maybe add some foundation to their relationship - the physical chemistry is certainly there, so it would be a fabulous opportunity to build up some other reasons they're attracted to each other and like each other, besides both of them being goshdarn good-looking. You've already got some of this being built-up; for instance, Bill's surprising response to the tequila shot, despite being a "sexy" thing, was also a personality aspect that clearly won Tomas over, so thumbs up for that. As well as Tomas' DJ'ing responses, such as the "I knew it all along" thing in response to Bill being a boy and the whole "thought it was over" line. So good. Such a subtle way to build up their personalities!

Also, if you're wondering why I'm suspecting that the next chapter may have a slightly more insecure Tomas, it's because of that chapter note or some comment by you in which you said something along the lines that Bill certainly wasn't ready for full-on sex, and as we would discover, "neither is Tom".

I'm looking forward to a chapter that will definitely have a different atmosphere, one filled with lots of slightly nerve-wracking or awkward interactions that serve to build up a different aspect of their relationship.

I think it's safe to say that you have a pretty firm grasp on the characters. ;)

I'm so glad that you're looking forward to it. I am, too, to be honest. You can only do so much sexual tension before it starts to get overdone, and I certainly don't want this story to come off as nothing more than a smut-fest. The next chapter is going to bring a definite change in pace, and over the span of the following chapters, there will be lots of insight into their personalities. =)
