My whole heart is hoping for Bill to say yes for Tom. The image you painted into my mind of them just running away, the passion, desperation saturated with hope Tom has is exciting and at the same time heartbreaking. It will break my heart in million pieces if Bill doesn't go with Tom. It will, because after struggling and thinking it's so clear how much Bill is to Tom. He is Tom's everything. That kind of bond should never be broken.
It's so bittersweet, romantic thought of them just leaving. On the other hand I have this realistic me saying that it's impossible in life, but is it? It's the purest, the most sarcifieing love there can be. You can write for this either totally heartbreaking end or complete fulfillment. I really, really hope they'll have their life together.
Just Tom, Bill, anonymity of a strange town and one guitar. It's a very beautiful thought.
Author's Response: A life of that kind of simplicity has always been a dream of mine, but I'm not ballsy enough to do it. But I kind of have it all romanticized in my head, so, often times, my characters dream of it, too. I'm so glad you're liking it. <3

Oh yes, please do just that! I hope Bill gives Tom the chance they were denied of before, because no matter if Bill loves Derek, he's never going to be what Tom is for him, his soulmate. I loved the glimpse into what Tom is thinking and feeling and wanting. The chapter was fantastic, and I'll be waiting impatiently for more! It was a lovely mother's day gift for certain. :D

I applause. What a wonderful way to describe Tom's jealousy and desperation, hidden aggression and disappointment. I trylu enjoyed (as much as it's possible in this case) to read so cleverwriting without turning it into cliches or exaggerate it. All from "Doctor Derek" to so much revealing, awkward moments with DDM... Very good job!
I don't know, it felt like DDM was here a culmination of their shared past, the the most meaningful thing to describe who Bill and Tom were... are. It was maybe a turning point for Bill? Just maybe?
And commenting about your previous respond: I think I see it too in a way... how Bill's dazzle can leave him in a shadow. BUt then Bill sings In yoir shadow I can shine and I feel like he will never be in shadow for Bill. That's all what matters. :)
Author's Response: I'm so glad you're getting so much from the little things in this story. It makes me so happy to see that you're picking up on things like he awkwardness of the situation and Tom's desperation, even when he's being so compliant and trying so hard to please Bill. I think you're right that DDM was a turning point for Bill (for them). And In Your Shadow is exactly what comes to mind when I think of them living in each other's shadows. I think even my own brother and I live in each other's shadows, so I can definitely see it happening with the twins.
