Wow, your writing has improved! With the first and second chapters of this story I wasn't so sure if the writing was going to do the plot justice. But now I'm really excited to read more from you.
I like that you skipped ahead a few years; that way you can allude to a long-standing friendship without having to spend loads of time buildng it.
I like how you made Bill completely oblivious of what was going to happen to him, but wouldn't Tom have some knowledge about what the other nobles use the prettiest slaves for?
I also liked how you explained that (while Bill thinks it's purely a present for him) the higher-ups decided to give Bill a tongue ring because they could see he was turning out to be beautiful and thought he would make a good pleasure slave.
Can't wait to see what , if anything, Tom will do in retaliation.
