This chapter is slightly similar to my story Crossing Paths :D just that it's in a resort instead of hotel.
I really like your concept, which is engaging ^^
And I also noticed that you used third person omniscient POV, since the narrator could easily switch between Amanda and Tom's mind. I never used that POV before, but it's nice, though ^^
