I LOVED THIS CHAPTER!!!!! Full of raw emotion~I felt like I was in the room with them-listening to their conversation-pulled me right in. Loved how you added the meaning of Bill's tattoo in the story!

Oh. Oh, oh, oh, this was so damn good! I'm so happy they're sorting things out, finally seeing the one thing that matters. I felt so happy in the beginning of this chapter when it seemed like they might talk at least a little, like the very dark sky might be clearing out. Then, towards the end, I'm sitting here with pretty much tears of joy in my eyes because I'm feeling so incredibly happy. Right now, I'd love to have the "now" bring me some fluff and smut, but I really can't wait for the next "then" for once, too, as it seems to be giving out the two same things :) Great job, as always.

I love your writing, I really do, but this was just too easy. It felt as if it was a bit rushed, that might have been your intentions but idk, just seemed like it was the easiest way out, no real conflict, everything forgotten.
Your writing is still outstanding, so don't get me wrong, I do love it :)
Author's Response: Thank you, I appreciate your honest opinion. I did wrestle with how to respond to this, but this story isn't primarily intended to be an "overcome the angst and get together" story - the "then" sections are more a reflection, a remembrance. We're seeing them at a point where they're ready to resolve things after a couple of difficult years. Tom's main barrier was in wanting to fulfill Bill's wish for that one true love, and when he found that Bill really did mean it, he knows him well enough to believe it.
I think perhaps the overall momentum of the story gets diluted because I'm posting every other day rather than doing a complete story dump. :/ But thank you, I really appreciate your review!

I haven't commented so far but at this point I can't not. When I open every "then" chapter is makes my chest tight. The angst/longing is palpable. The "now"'s are even more heartbreaking somehow. Just beautifully written.
