I suck at anything involving medicine and illnesses, so I have no idea what Tom had. Did he catch the Margburg virus?
Author's Response: Aww thank you so much! That made me smile :-) I am glad you are not mobbing me for killing them lol. I was aiming to make it beautiful but bittersweet. rnrnActually no, he did not. He had gotten radiation poisoning. I kind of made it vague, but was hoping the hints were enough for people to piece it together lol. (blame me and my abstract mind.)rnrn Bill was able to be created because of radiation, thus his body holds it within his system (if you remember Gusti realizing that at David's?). rnrnRadiation, when it becomes stronger, becomes more powerful...when it is more powerful it creates heat. What happens when you have sex or are in close proximity to someone? Your body heat rises, right? So with Bill every time he and Tom would have sex or be near each other the increase in Bill's body heat would make the radiation leak out in higher dosages, which in turn was beginning to affect Tom. (the smaller dosage leaks add up as well.)rnrnGeorg's symptoms in this chapter actually mirrors some of Tom's. (and yes, all of the symptoms Tom has are actual symptoms of high dosage radiation exposure.)rnrnHence, Bill said he was Sorry in the end because it dawned on him that he was the one who inadvertently killed Tom.
