Ya know what would be so cool to end this with? Is if after the birth of the baby, Gustav was found as a POW somewhere and they rescued him and brought him to Bill and their baby, hurt maybe but alive. and what kept him alive is the deep need to get back to Bill and his family. Talk about a tear jerker ending!
I may have to write a story with that ending myself too!
Author's Response: haha, well, Gustav, of course, never knew Bill was pregnant, so that couldn't be the case, but while the story has been super sad so far, the ending, i promise, is at least bittersweet. It's not perfectly happily ever after like that, but it isn't totally depressing. I'm notorious for only having had one TRUELY tragic ending to a story EVER. I've had SEMI-sad endings that still made me cry, but there is always a little bit of happy.rnrnI wont say how it ends, but you may just be surprised yet.

HO-LY CRAAAAPP!!!! I nearly started crying again RIGHT NOW just typing that... *i'm a daddy's baby, so the idea of never having met my dad is like... the worst thing EVER, so you see why i cried so hard*rnrnBut really, thanks for reading! i'm about to submit yet another chapter (i think, if chapter six is up yet i will) so yeah, plenty more coming!
