So, based on teenaged and older Bill's reactions, I'd guess that any intimate relationship between the twins starts after teenage Bill and that Tom has died by the time Bill is fifty.
Author's Response: I'm not going to spoil the fic with regard to when intimate relationships begin, but Tom hasn't died when Bill's fifty so don't worry about that!

Oh, my. I just realised what this story was.
I read it all, already, but I never had the chance to comment it because I just had a link to it and I didn't know the site, so I never did comment.
This story is beautiful. Now I don't want to get too into it because I understand some people haven't read it yet, but I have never cried so much reading a fan fiction. It was so beautiful and sad and just... Not only the story was great, your writing, too. I lovedlovedloved it.

I can just imagine how O___O Tom was to hear that bit at the end there, maybe not imagining YET that they would even make it that big, but Bill's enthusiasm is just so contagious, he can't help but feel just as excited over it!

i went and took a look ant the paintjob...incredible btw...and started cryig like imbecile...
when i calmed down i quickly went to read the 3 ch...at the beginning i was laughing when i imagined the 4 of them meeting...ad then like something hard hit me...especially bill with no make-up and the massage for the kiss...i started to cry hysterically...lol my mom brusted ito the room ...she thought someone had died...
i cat help myself!!! this has NEVER happened before! ( i am known for being...well more to the stony one..
its just...i feel really weard...like i know what is happeig...ad i am scared of it?...dono...IT JUST FREKING MAKES ME CRY!! and i cat finish the story because of the crying!!
buutt...*this is totally weird*...this is THE most amaizing story i read...and were only at ch.3....schiesse...

I loved this scene when I first read it. The combination of older Bill and younger Tom is so, too many words to put here and none of them really fit the entire scope of feelings. I just loved the interactions between them, no matter which age. Older Bill and younger Tom. The opposite has it's appeal as well, but I'm more interested in babying Tom here.
And the first of many "baby" endearments. The baby is difficult to pull off, usually when I read that it sounds forced. It fits perfectly in this fic.

Older Bill here, it didn't make so much sense at first but when you read back, the sadness in his eyes and the fact that cuddling his much younger Tomi is most probably the only thing keeping him from being taken over by despair.
It's just...;___; like Bill's words-- It's too much.
Author's Response: This is the first chapter where you begin to see double links happening - something that I don't do too often because of how much of a headache it can create lol, but it's pretty important to me anyway. You see older Bill, as you mentioned, and on a second read through it should all make sense now, and then you also see teenage Bill - and Tom @ 17 shows the scene directly after this for Bill. For me I just have to sit back and think 'Bill will have three memories of this' *hugs!!*

So, Bill travels through time but why? I'm sure it will be told sooner or later but it's interesting how this all came about. I like it though and can't wait to read more. I just feel so sad for Tom sometimes though. Bill must be scared as well to a point. Having this strange power with no control over it.

Aww.. I feel for Tom, being so vulnerable and frightened for Bill. Am so very confused though, it seems like Bill is a holograph at times, flickering in and out of space...I dunno, thats what first came in mind. But he seems to be real, because even Gordon addresses him. I dont get it. BUT IM SO INTERESTED. And I LOOOVE the idea of a big Bill looking over them, watching them sometimes. PLEASE UPDATE!

If you look at the first chapter, there's some gorgeous art by Amythystluna that should show you who the 'stranger' that saved Tom was ♥ As far as the comment was concerned - this fic is actually finished and was posted somewhere else. It's not that this is 'short', just that the complete fic is up elsewhere. Here it's up year by year, which means small bits sometimes. I'm very glad you're enjoying it and hope you keep doing so! ♥
