As painful as it is to read what is about to happen, it is beautifully written. It is also a work of fiction (thankfully) and we know that the guys are about to put on some of the craziest outfits we have ever seen, and Bill is about to take that blinged microphone and flail across the stage again. If this was a book, I would have read it in one sitting I love it so much and the ending, I have seen myself, and it doesn't scare me.
Can I have the rest now?! This waiting for it is killing me!!

I knew it. Sigh. Not like there wasn't plenty of warning. I kinda wanna know exactly what's wrong with Tom, but then again I don't. I have the sinking feeling that the rest of this story is going to be very depressing.

I'm rereading this the way I said I would, but I have to stop here. At least for now. I know exactly what happens in all the scenes following this one, and I still cannot deal.
Just want to say, though, that I have been enjoying the reread. I might have to go through everything else again before I can cope with the later years, but I will manage eventually, because your writing here is heartbreaking and beautiful.

Author's Response: We are getting to a peak in the story, yeah. :( GP is General Practitioner - it's a local family doctor, tends to be first call if you have anything wrong and lets you access the health system.

awww "delicious certainty," it's amazing to witness the effect of the words on a person, in this case totally justified, so many years of waiting for this. It should have been something amazing to hear for Tom that his fears of Bill not being with him are put to a rest.
