Oh my GOD. That ending left the biggest grin on my face, and a little breathless. It's all there, but for some reason, it just didn't connect. I'm going to have to re-read it now with new eyes. I'm not sure if it was SUPPOSED to be a surprise, but it was to me and I love that. =D

It's so nice to think of the twins having a vacation like this. It feels so comfortable and close and perfect. I loved the sandcastle scene, from Bill's mysterious reserves of energy and his insistence that sandcastles are *awesome* -- which they are! -- to his complaining of sympathy pains when Tom had a sunburn. And of course, the water attack. ;) I can imagine it all, and Bill being a giant blanket hog and getting Tom to carry his bags. And Tom doesn't seem to mind it all. They're so perfect here, and Bill is such a mix of sweet and bratty, it seems to fit him for some reason. Just perfect. =)

This was just so amazingly sweet and romantic! It almost has a bittersweetness to it because, even though they found a way to have their "vacation", it was only in their minds. This really made me teary-eyed and I loved every moment of it!

Ohh, oh. I loved both their realities. It's so beautiful, definitely fluffy, but there's also enough bittersweet emotion in this that...oh, it hurts. Poor darlings.
Now I'm hoping harder than ever that they get a break this winter, but it's not looking likely! I hope they at least get something LIKE this. ;)
Painfully beautiful and yet still quite fluffy enough to satisfy.
Author's Response: It really did wind up more bittersweet than I intended, I think because I'm so sad they haven't managed a proper vacation this year. ;_; But I still do have hope that they will, much as the twins keep telling us they have no life outside of the band etc. anymore. Everyone needs a break sometimes, though!
