Excellent story so far. Really. I've always loved reading stories about characters like this Bill. They're so innocent and accepting, and different, that they're always picked on by other people, and it just makes me so sad that other people just can't accept who they are. Have you read a book called Stargirl? This 'Bill' really reminded of that girl.
Also, you've developed Tom very nicely, how he tries so hard to fit in and how he became envious of Bill instead. Very nice. Please update soon. =)
