Poor Simone, she's very brave, some family members just pretend not to see.
There was a case of child abuse in France, not so long ago. He was kept locked in a room til his 7th birthday and the grandma and the neibhourg were aware of it but didn't say anything. How horrible ! I can't believe it, how can they still look at themselves in a mirror after that ?

Ok, so it is now 2:40 am and I have just finished reading this fic. Never before has a fic made me stay up like this one has. I started reading this story before I left for work yesterday morning, and it was in my mind all day! Finally when I got home, I read the entire story in one sitting even though my leg fell asleep.
This story is absolutely amazing. I can feel the emotions of the characters. I feel the anger, the confusion, the sadness and frustration. I feel it all!! That's an amazing effect to get. It's all due to the amazing writing that I was reading!
I seriously have no words to describe how incredible this fic is. Even though it is sad and at times sick, I can't stop reading. I can't wait to read what happens next. I have so many things I want the boys to do. I want them to tell their mom. I want them to get help! I just can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
This is.... fantastic. Please keep up the good work and I am tracking this story. *thumbs up* ^.^

poor babies. i feel a bit redundant, but what else can i say...its so awful to be abused, especially by someone you loved or trusted...reminds me of a friend i had once, i hope to god she escaped the situation...but i was in no position to help as a 6 year old...ugh, the worst part is that it was her aunt and uncle doing it, and her mother, their sister, knew and as a lawyer defended them in court so all the psychologists and my parents were able to get out of me was in vain. and she had a baby sister also....god, i wonder how many children they crushed if they had me join in their games on my first ever time at their house...? sorry for the ramble, but its healthy to not hide from these things, they say

Also, you may have a bit of a plot hole here. Why hasn't Simone contacted the police? Why hasn't she even considered sending them to get psychological help?
Author's Response: There's not a plot hole, I assure you :) Seeking psychological help is up to the boys, not her, and given their reactions, they aren't ready to do that yet. As for the police issue, it's addressed ;) No worries.
