Wonderful story. Dreading the ending; i dont think Tom's face was washed and i was a little frightened that that would somehow mess everything up. Loved the ending.

I LOVE this now as much as I did when I read it on LJ. damn girl, this was just AMAZING. I love fairytales, myths, the whole lot, so this just did it for me.
Author's Response: Hee, thank you! I'm also a huge fairy tale, myth and folklore fan, so I was hugely thrilled when I saw the prompt and I loved writing the fic. I've gotta do more fairy tales in future, seriously.

I didn't know about the Prince Lindworm fairy tale so I looked it up. I love that you picked a fairy tale that preserves their twin-ness. This is so engaging and beautifully written, and I'm excited to find out how you've twisted it to the end. =D

i suck at reviews so all i can say is that I love this story. Bill and Tom are meant to stay together, snake tail or not. Tom will never be accepted and it's not right because he did nothing to deserve it. In these kinds of stories there's usually a part where Tom is supposed to become human but i dont see that happening in this story. And it's weird because all these other stories focus greatly on that but in this ond it's more of struggling to stay together. I noticed that this is Bill/Tom, but even if it werent i'd still think this were a great story. I've never heard of prince lud- but i'm going to look him up. Update soon please.

I'm always so pleased to read such a thought-out review. ♥ You know, now that I've posted the second chapter I can say that I did consider having Tom keep his form, but followed the original tale in the end. For me, though, the rest of the story is definitely meant to illustrate that Bill would have stayed forever with Tom regardless - the transformation was essential so that the rest of the world would accept Tom, but Bill would accept and love Tom anyway.
