i have to say i read every chapter but i find it really hard to comment on the chapters where Bill's ed is main topic. just wanted to let you know i was still reading because i felt bad for not reviewing. this is still really good

As an eating disorder plagued woman myself, I find this to be one of the most accurate, interesting and moving stories I've read yet. A few points in the story have wanted to make me cry.. especially the scenes where BIl feels comfortable enough to eat with Tom because I remember when my saviour first stepped into the picture and started to help me. I don't know where I'd be without him. I really really love this story and I hope you continue with frequent updates (and if not it's understandable). Great story.

I had to make a reasonable excuse for Bill to start eating more, and Tom (who isn't very educated on eating disorders) is able to help in this small way which, under the circumstances, is incredible. :) P.S. If anyone were to review the things search on Google they'd be like, "Wow. Somebody has a lot of free time." If Random Googling were a test then I would get an A+ XP

I'm finding this story quite engrossing. There are some parts where the grammar and phrasing are a little awkward, but I am still enjoying it. You handle the drama narrative quite well.

Regarding your endnotes, though:

Actually breaking ribs is difficult to do, unless the bones were really brittle. This shouldn't happen too easily with a teenaged boy. Old people, maybe. So, I think it would be more plausible to say that he perhaps, had cracked his ribs.

All broken bones can heal on their own, in a healthy person, that's true. But any known breakage of ribs (or other bones) due to trauma needs to be seen be a doctor, if and when one is available. Like you said, if the bones set and heal abnormally, there'll be problems later. I do understand why he doesn't want to go the hospital in your story of course, but since you mentioned it in your notes and thus, for the sake of others reading them, I feel that they should not hide it if they break any bones. For whatever reason.

I'm not a scholar when it comes to English so I do tend to invent my own grammar...I'm trying to work on it though XD. rnrnLike you said, it is difficult to break bones. I know this. However, there are several things I took into account when I decided to include Bill’s rib injury in the story. rn1- People who suffer from Anorexia Nervosa have an increased risk for skeletal fractures and bruises (because they lack proper nutrients, i.e. calcium, iron, protein…). In this story, Bill only gets bruises from being abused, bullied, and from his car accident, but because of his Anorexia he would actually be bruised more frequently in real life. He would get bruises from things such as crossing his legs or resting his elbows on a hard surface….but I thought that would be too much extra to fit into this story, so I did not include this side effect of the disease.rn2- In chapter 4, Herr Kaufman says, “Do you know that he has suffered multiple fractures, not caused by the crash?”- this is referring to Bill's abuse. I can't go too much into detail on that line because it would give away something in a later chapter, but Bill has been repeatedly kicked in the stomach (by Tom and his father) recently which would, in my opinion, weaken his already fragile bones even morern3- With abuse and particularly neglect, children often do not receive the required medical attention they need. Even if Bill already had fractured ribs (from Jorg) he probably wouldn't have been taken to the hospital for them and the old Bill would not have taken himself to the hospital because he feels disgusted by the bruises but wants to keep them because they make him feel better on the inside (remember chapter 13). And Jorg would never take Bill himself because he’s the one behind the injuries.rnI hope that explains my reasoning correctly. rnAnd thanks for pointing out about how the readers should know not to hide broken bones in real life.
