i don't understand the grading. the higher the number the lower it really is?
Author's Response: In Germany the grading system is 1 to 6. The highest you can score is a 1 for excellence, and the lowest is a 6 for failing. A student can pass with a 4 or higher, but it is better to have a 1 or a 2 as your grade. I hope that explains it well. :)

I love this story. I made me cry and and think about what people face. My friend faces almost the same thing. Abuse from a parent. And she wants to end it so bad. I'm SO HAPPY that I can be there for her and tell her to keep going and make sure she doesn't think the way she did before. She's so smart but we all have our days. Just some never seem to go. Thank you for the lovely story! Oh And I LOVE your second story. :)
Author's Response: I'm so glad that you are looking out for your friend who is suffering from abuse. Has she tried to tell another adult or remove herself from the situation? I do not know the specifics surrounding her circumstances, obviously, but I think that if she is in any danger or if you feel that she is unsafe at home, you should talk to her and contact someone. I am always upset by the fact that child abuse is often not recognized or talked about, and I think that it is something that definately needs to be dealt with. Thanks for the review :)

Hell yeah, go Bill!! For someone to have the courage to stand up to their father, or even just someone who was hurting them, is amazing, and you've written this so well. Honestly, this story is perfect, and ever since I started reading it, I've been hooked. I was thrilled to see this updated today, just like every other update, and I love this chapter more than the others - because Bill is so brutally honest to his father, and it was what Jorg needed to hear. A nice, happy "Fuck You" from his own son!! I do think Bill's analysis of the questions on the SCOFF test was pretty clever, and reading what you said about the difficulty in diagnosing anorexia reminds me of a friend of mine - in the past year or so, I've seen her eat less times than I could count on one hand, and I'm so worried about her. But anyway, enough of that XD What's important is that, first, this story is amazing, it's well written and perfectly expressed; second, that you, personally, can be so honest with readers and reviewers about your own experiences. That must take such courage :) So, after all my ranting, I'll circle back to the point - only an epilogue left??? I'm excited to see what's going to happen, and I can't wait for the sequel. Maybe some Bill/Tom development? ;D Congratulations on being nominated in the awards, and also, "Goodbye, I miss you" is amazing too, definitely a story I will follow closely...one last thing...this story is AWESOME!!! Author's Response: Holy Shit that is a really long response. Thanks for taking the time to write it! I'm really glad that you enjoy the story so much. When Bill freaks out at his dad, I was debating about having him simply flip him off. I figured that wouldn't really work though... It's also really admirable that you have noticed some changes in your friend. If you seriously think she might have a problem, I suggest that you talk to her about it. But it's up to you in the end, obviously. And I wouldn't necessarily call myself courageous for sharing my experiences through this story. I would never let my friends read this because it would really freak them out if they did. It's easier to talk about my eating disorder in the story than it is to talk about my problems in real life. Probably because there is very little chance that anyone on this site will contact my school or doctor to say, "Hey, check that girl out! Look at what she's going through!!" If anyone tried to force me to do anything (like a therapy sessions or hospital), I'd totally freak. So in the end, it's easier this way, and I can talk to people who can give me unbiased suggestions and encouragement. Kisses, Kristina :D

Bill's still in denial, huh? difficult for Tom to help him when he doesn't admit there is something wrong.
Good news to Bill, he will be able to not come back to his father's house. I'd like the restriction order to exist, though. Only that way he will be able to be safer.
Isn't the abuse punished even if the person doesn't press charges?? In my humble opinio, it should be.

Author's Response: Bill finds it hard to admit that he has an eating disorder. At least he did admit that his father's been abusing him over the years. :) I was looking up abuse to see what happens after someone is removed from an abusive household. There are some times when the person can choose to stay with a trusted friend and since Bill is 17, he'll be coming of age soon anyway, so he will just be staying with the Trumpers from now on. If Bill was a younger child, he might have been put into foster care, or sent back home (with his family's actions being monitored by child services of course). Also, since the Trumpers are Bill's secondary emergency contact, they would be able to take care of him if a dangerous situation arose. :)rnrnKisses, Kristina

Every day I try to eat even though like you said, "it's hard and scary"; and you're right- it's downright terrifying. Author's Response: I know that it's important to eat, but there are times when I cannot bring myself to eat food. It's terrible and I hate it. And I just wanted to say that even though I don't know you personally, I'm really proud of you for handling your struggles with eating the way you do. I think it's really great that you talk about them so openly to your readers. I know you'll get back on track soon, hun.
Author's Response: I just had to name this three part chapter "The Truth" because it's something that I've promised for so long in this fic. rnrnAnd thanks. I find that it is a lot easier to discuss my eating disorder through stories and notes on here than discussing it in real life. Even when my boyfriend and I talk about my eating disorder, I tend to downplay everything because he's worried about me enough as it is. I also have the problem of admitting that I have an eating disorder when people confront me about it. Some days, I am convinced that I do not have an eating disorder and that things aren't as bad as they seem because, "If I really was that bad, I'd be in the hospital already". Then I have to remind myself that I do have an eating disorder, and that normal people don't do x y and z (lists and lists of odd food rituals that take place on a daily basis). Because eating has always been a struggle for me, I want to make people aware that 1- Anorexia is not a "life style choice", it's a disease and 2- I'm not in control of it. I also hope that anyone who has an eating disorder might realize it when they read this fic (because it's often hard to admit it, like I said before). :)
