Well, I must say I like the premise. It was uniquely done, and I really appreciate the subtlties of emotion. Stoic!Gustav is my favorite Gustav.
The only thing I would suggest is that you leave the Authors Notes for the begging or end of the fic. When they keep popping up they kind of detract from the story, and pull you out of the world you so painstakingly created.
Yet again, awesome Gustav (you do him so well) and great job.
