Tom also needs to have a very long and loud conversation with him and his mother. That drama hasn't been squashed and resolved yet. Or are you addressing it again anymore?

I LOVED this chapter. I am the oldest of two but I know how Chloe felt. I remember when my mom got remarried and then I had a new guy in the house and a new baby brother a year later. I remember asking my mom "who the hell is this screaming kid?"
What would be cute is to write from the POV of Alexia and Adam. Can you imagine the world and their new family from a newborn's POV?
