I love this dominance struggle between Tom and bill. Dominant, strong Tom is very sexy. I sincerely hope he figures out what bill is and bill owes him ;) even though I think he'll come to want bill to willingly come to him, not because of a bet but because he wants him.
I would like to see Tom defend or come to bill's rescue /aid at some point. I think even though it will annoy bill it will also excite him. Really enjoying this story, can't wait for next part.

is this like a rewrite of the series, or is it just using like the universe of it?
Author's Response: No worries! And this isn't a rewrite. It's based in the same universe so Mercy Thompson (main character in the books) pops in independently from time to time like she did in this first chapter. Some little pieces will parallel but for the most part I prefer to keep it original.
