Everything went downhill soon as dessert was discussed. And of course, the fairy comment was the cherry on top that finished setting Bill off.
It's true, Bill's already made a difference in Tom's life, even if it's baby steps by making him be more friendly and social, but still. Anything is an improvement to Tom's first attitude when he got there. However, if you want something from Bill, then what Tom should have done was be a man and take the bull by the horns. Bill promised him a good night if he played his cards right. All Bill wanted was for Tom to relax, be himself and not his most asshole persona, but even that had to shine through anyway and thus, ruining the moment.

I think Bill's gonna make Tom suffer by making him take a good look at himself and examine all his actions before he speaks/acts.
Bill has come to Tom once too many times now and it's time for Tom to come to Bill and work at winning him back.
Author's Response: CORRECT. Bill was already kind of starting to doubt himself, and Tom played right into it. Very observant. :D
And Tom absolutely should have apologized, right away, but he completely failed to pick up on that. He could have redeemed himself if he'd admitted he was wrong, acknowledged that and tried to make amends...but, yep! And Bill gives him too many chances. ;_; Thank you so much for reading, hon! hahaha I laughed so much in this one. Tom getting rejected, Tom taking a break from women (and not about to break a near-thirty year streak of heterosexuality), and Tom finding the casino with the help of Michael's mumbled suggestions from somewhere behind him. Ahhh...this story makes me smile so, so much.

Wow, wasn't expecting that ending! Was it that Tom called him a fairy god mother? Like, I dunno, "fairy" is sometimes a rude term for a gay person, and maybe Bill was picked on a lot before, so when Tom said that, it triggered memories and he assumed that Tom was going to go the same route as those bullies???
And I'm thinking that the reson Bill slammed the door in Tom's face after Tom said "Good night" was because what Bill wanted to hear was an "I'm sorry". And maybe to see if Tom would give up and let him go that easily. But, I don't know, I'm just guessing.
Once again, a mind blowing chapter. Can't wait for more! :)
Author's Response: I know, I'll bet few people were. ;D It was definitely the "fairy" crack, and it hammered directly on one of Bill's triggers. And you pegged Bill absolutely right - Bill gave Tom a couple of chances to say he was sorry and he didn't, and that really pissed Bill off.
