Oh! I knew it was going to turn out okay and this gave me so much hope. You have such a beautiful way to write about their closeness. Even if their conversation didn't cover everything that had happened, it was such a sweet start all over again. I'm afraid that it's not going to be this easy... or is it? Are you giving us purely fluffy X-mas gift here? I could use one...
Btw, I love your Tom here. And Bill being the protecting one. It's not so common here and it's very sweet. I like to read about their "roles" that way.

The beginning made me Awww so much... You wrote very beautifully about Bill's hidden masculinity and Tom's need to be the protected one. Very beautiful scene in general. I could imagine it in my head.
It's also heartbreaking to read how denial Tom seems to be. Struggling all the time. It's so often like he is behaving; turning into a hate, because don't know how else is possible to behave. Love make people do shitty things...
I don't think this is rushed, at least not for now. This chapter showed nicely their conflicted relationship, where they are not even knowing what the hell is going on. At least not Bill. I wish Tom could just say it, but... I guess we need to wait for a while :).
Now to the next chaprter...

Aww, what a cute chapter. I'm glad things with them are starting to get better, even though Tom is still very, very confused.
But they're so cute here ^-^ This story is definitely great for the holidays, it makes me feel all mushy and warm inside! And oh, Bill in this is so adorable and innocent while Tom is over-worrying things because he's so nervous, poor thing. Well, I'll be waiting for more! Keep up the great writing!
