I'm really confused, too, by Bill's behavior. I don't even know that the reason he was so obnoxious to Tom was because Tom gave him away. I mean, his reaction seems a little extreme for it to just be that. Really interesting chapter, and as always, I'm looking forward to more. :)
Author's Response: ♥ If this doesn't sound entirely cracked... I'm seeing this from Tom's pov as I write it, so I'm not necessarily 100% clear on Bill's motivations, but I get the feeling the whole idea 'a good offence is the best defence' might be behind some of it.

Hrrrm, I too wonder what was perplexing Bill! It's interesting to see the tension increase here, and Tom's fascination with Bill. I'm so sympathetic towards Tom and his cluelessness and frustration. But also very much wondering what really spurs Bill's cold attitude. I want to see him reach out even just a little, but I have to admit, watching him be this much of a bitch is kind of fun. >_> *hides*

Author's Response: Yay! Thank you ♥ And to be honest - for me these are really short chapter lol. My goal for this fic was bitesize chunks. 5T got rolling with chapters that were 5-6k and they felt way too long, so I was determined this wouldn't be like that. I'm really glad it's grabbed you ^_^
