Argh. I started a list of everything I LOVE in this chapter, and then I got tired of scrolling up and down because I love it all. Tom is fucking ADORABLE in this. Georg is AWESOME, Gustav is a genius, plain and simple, and David probably IS a pirate. haha Tom, Georg, and Gustav fighting with the butter knives is probably going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Love. Just...love, love, love.

Gustav is always the wise one, did you notice that? I guess it has something to do with the saying, "Better to have people believe you are a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt" or something like that. Is it because he looks smart, or because he's so quiet on a regular basis? I think he's amazing.
I think this whole story is amazing. A younger Tom sounds like a handful, but I would gladly jump in there with them. He seems like so much fun.
And I can kinda understand where David is coming from. I mean, adults don't believe in really spiff things anymore. It's kinda sad, and I feel bad for him. The boys accept everything without a problem, and poor David is left in the dust.
Author's Response: Gustav is always the wise one! I love that saying, though somehow I suspect Bill, mister chatterbox himself, doesn't subscribe to that theory. You know, I always thought Gustav was probably the most intelligent/geekiest of them all, and I mean that as a compliment. His recent interviews have only strengthened that idea in my mind. ;)
That's so true about adults, which seems invariably sad to me. I doubt I've grown up properly, and that's fine by me, to be honest!

Author's Response: The obvious solution, but they're a kind of dopey bunch of boys. :P Occam's Razor iiiis... well, here's a helpful link: http://www.2think.org/occams_razor.shtml Gustav isn't quite applying it correctly, since he's assuming the existence of Neverland, but that was on purpose. He wanted to shush them so he'd have a chance to suggest the DNA test. ;D

LOL I wondered when someone was going to say give Tom a DNA test. The guys are freaked out though, in varying degrees, so I can see how they might not get that far right away. Gustav totally won my love in this chapter, but you know I adore the whole thing. I'm so glad to see more! :D

Oh my god. It's just... perfect. Peter Pan is my most favorite children's story ever and it's not the character itself as it is the idea of never growing up. I literally squealed when I first saw this story, and it made me tear up so much, and not just during the sad parts. Thank you thank you thank you for writing this!
Author's Response: Thank you thank you for reading it! Peter Pan always fascinated me, too. I think for me the concept of never growing up is both liberating and a bit melancholy, so, yeah. I just had to write it. :)
