Oh wow, this story is almost leaving me speechless. It's really different from basically everything I've read on this site before. I haven't found many magic/paranormal/fantasy-type fics unfortunately, but this is absolutely the best of them ~~ It makes me really curious to know what is actually up with Bill, not to mention how will he travel to the North. And the disease and wall are really intriguing too. I really hope that Bill and Tom end up together...
Your writing is very beautiful - it's like the words paint images, but sort of... alive images, that are three-dimensional and have sound and smell and everything else. Plus, everything that happens is also kind of lively, because to me it feels like the interaction between Tom and Bill, and the plot of the story, are unfolding very fluidly and naturally, in a very perfect sort of way.
And I love the way you portray Bill and Tom! Tom's personality is a little less awesome because he's sort of devoid of hope, but in this chapter I like him a lot more; I suppose that him finally giving in to his desire (or love...) for Bill made him much more light-spirited. But Bill is totally the highlight of the story, at least to me! His character feels magical, and stands out from everything else.
This story is love at first sight for me. You're doing an amazingly mind-blowing job, keep writing! ^.^ Also, how do you pronounce danachi?

Oh, this chapter was just...wow....I love danachi Bill so much lol. He's just unique and I must say that this fic has the most amazing version of Bill as a different species. And Tom's character...you seem to have his personality figured out very veryyyy well. The ending of this chapter shocked the hell out of me though. I knew Bill had awesome magic but I didn't expect it to happen like THAT! The end was definately sexy. I just have a bad feeling about Georg for some odd reason...i don't think he will like it too much if Tom decides to follow Bill...But anyway, I have to go now...Can't wait for the next update of this :) . Author's Response: Woah... your reviews have thrown me a little, I have to say, but I'll do my best to answer some of your questions.rnrnI deliberately didn't go too far into the history of the AU world this is set in as I want the environment to tell its own story- how they have ended up where they are should come out through their dialouge and characters, rather than me stopping the story to explain it all.rnrnThere is definitely something more to their relationship than just physical attraction and perhaps i didn't show it enough, but it is there in the way they connected over their pasts, how Tom is starting to like having Bill in his room, the way they playfully interact and flirt in a way which is entirely different from the first three chapters when it WAS just purely physical.rnrnThanks for commenting! :)

Read the whole thing in one go, honestly this is actually the best story I've read so far. Fantastic concept, really amazing. I can picture everything, there's the perfect amount of detail. I have no idea how on earth you came up with the danachi, and the sex = magic concept, it's genius. Makes for such good reading, something totally different. Can't wait for the next installment.
