Oh no, Gustav!!! This was so sad and powerful and gah. :( I think Georg's pain was most touching in this though, losing his best friend.

Gosh, poor Gustav :( He was so brave, bless him. But I'm glad he got to make that decision for himself before he completely 'turned' and that he had Tom and Georg with him at the end.
So sad though. Now all we can do is wait, and hope that Tom and Georg make it through the night without becoming infected. The way you write makes everything feel so real. I almost feel as though I'm at that base with them, waiting for .. something to help them!
I'm getting pretty scared for how things are going to end to. We've only got three more chapters to go and things are far from great between Bill and Tom. I'm starting to worry that maybe Bill will go on alone to find his people :(
I really hope that somehow, despite everything, they will stay together.
