God, me and my boyfriend have this EXACT relationship with the lying and me picking everything. Except we arent related.
But still, this story touched me like no other one has despite it being a short, one chapter thing. Just the wanting them to be happy but wanting them to be happy because of you, ohmygod.

Oh my god, that's so sad. I love how the depression is portrayed and how Tom acts after coming off the medication; it reminded me of being off depression medication as well. Horribly haunting, and definitely a story that I am so glad to have read.

Amazing job, once again... The first scene was nearly perfect, it captivated something very unique, raw and beautiful. I think this is a good prequal. This is giving much enlightning to the backround of Okay.
Although I personally liked Okay even more, this is very good too. Confusing. And talented writing about meds too. I love your characterizing, because even if you don't exactly connect them in a real life, they feel realistic and related to real Bill and Tom in many ways. Your Bill was very well written, so no need to worry.

This was intense and the whole thing with the meds was so real. Meds may make you more agreeable with the world, but it's not really you. Sometimes you just have to be yourself, even if that isn't the shiny happy person everyone wants you to be. Otherwise ....
It's a lie.
Relationships can be horribly confusing and I think you captured the emotional conflict perfectly.

it was intense in a way only you manage to write and it felt so real it was almost painful at times. when i read your stories i feel like i'm in a bubble where the atmosphere is so thick i could touch it. it's amazing how words can create such a thing if properly put together. you are a great writer.
