I don't think I would have written it if not for FQF; it's one of those ideas I think I would have shoved under the carpet to die a (hopefully) quiet death. I am not much of a fan of "teh het" myself because in this fandom it's very hard to present a believable female character who does not seem like a self-insert, Mary Sue, or both.
