i'm sure by now you know i love everything and anything you write xD and so my verdict for this is; i LOVED it. car sex is never ever a bad thing, especially written as well as this :) very hot and very sexy and very yummy. I think it's becoming a habit of mine to finish my day with a fic from you, a very wonderful habit i must say. What on earth am i gonna do when i've read all your work?! It was lovely! I liked the angst it was nice. But I think there was something missing, I'm not sure it felt finished. I know it's a slice of life but it doesn't feel resolved or I guess more specifically you didn't tell us that what ever the fighting between them was resolved. So though they had lovely smutty sex they still feel like they are fighting. I guess I wanted to have the angsty bits resolved a little more like they knew the cycle would continue but for the moment it wasn't going to touch them? I hope I've been clear with what I felt was missing. But really it was lovely, really lovely!
Author's Response: Thank you! Definitely slice of life. Well, the thing is - and this is something that took me years to learn - sometimes fights don't have a real "conclusion," as it were. Sometimes an issue just gets dropped and both parties try to ignore it, rather than having it out and coming to a neat resolution. Sometimes being "right" in a fight is losing it. In this case, though, I feel like Tom's declaration that they're married, and Bill dragging him into the car for married sex, was kind of like a giving in on both sides without them actually saying so. But yes, there's still underlying tension because of who they are and what they're doing that will always be there. I think I can see what you're saying but I'm not sure either of them would explicitly think of the moment like that. I really, really appreciate your thoughtful review, I love it when people show me with their reviews or comments that they're really thinking about the dynamic I've presented. =) Thank you!
